As a professional pianist living and working right here in The Woodlands, music is my absolute life's work and my greatest passion. Over years of dedicated playing, I have developed a deep, intuitive understanding of the piano that goes far beyond any textbook or formal classroom setting. My Approach as a Tutor!! How I Teach: I don't believe in boring, rigid drills that make you want to quit. Music should be fun. As a working professional pianist living right here in The Woodlands, I focus on helping you actually connect with the music. We will work on building great finger technique, solid rhythm, and reading music, but we do it through songs you actually want to play.
What a Lesson Looks Like
The First 10 Minutes:
We warm up your fingers with quick exercises to build strength and speed.
The Main Event (25 Minutes): We tackle your current song, breaking it down line by line so it never feels overwhelming.
The Brain Work (10 Minutes): A quick, easy breakdown of music theory so you actually understand what you are playing.
The Fun Finish (15 Minutes): We wrap up by playing for fun, trying some improvisation, or practicing how to play without stress.
What Sets Me ApartI don’t teach out of a rigid textbook, and I don't treat every student the same way. I bring the real-world experience and deep passion of a professional player straight to your bench.
My goal is to figure out how you learn best and adapt to your pace, keeping things encouraging and completely stress-free.About the LessonsI love working with all kinds of people, and my studio here in The Woodlands is open to absolutely everyone.
