About Chaitra
I'm currently pursuing my Masters in Data Science at The University of Melbourne from February 2018. I'm a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) Computer Science graduate from Bangalore, India. I've worked as a Python Developer for Agora Analytics (Start-up), Bangalore, India and developed a Applicant Tracking System (ATS) called SmartHire powered by Machine Learning.
I'm also currently a ResLead for the Python and NLTK Community at The Research Platform Services, University of Melbourne and have also received a ResGrant for my ResPitch for Web Scraping.
I’ve previously given seminars and presentations for various technical topics in science and computers. Also have presented in an IEEE Conference in January, 2017.

I believe in practical learning and understanding. Programming is logical thinking and application. My approach to teaching is relevance to real life scenarios and practical implementation that is easier to understand and also I add in humour to make it easier to recollect concepts.
I keep the lessons simple, basic and interesting (hopefully). Being a part of the Research Platform Services at my university I teach Programming to researchers from non-IT background.
