About Cee

Kia ora koutou!
Nō Te Rarawa, nō Ngāti Kahu ki Whangaroa ahau, ko Cee tōku ingoa :) He tauira, he kaiako ahau.
My name is Cee and I hail from the far north of Aotearoa, from Te Rarawa and Ngāti Kahu ki Whangaroa iwi. I am a passionate tauira (student) and kaiako (teacher) of te reo Māori me ōna tikanga, with a desire to share all the mātauranga (knowledge) I've acquired over the years to others who share my passion of language revitalisation.
Toitū Te Tiriti, Toitū te reo Māori

About the lesson

Having taught a variety of tauira with different learning styles, I know how important it is to understand and recognise the many ways in which people learn.
To me, teaching is a collaborative project between the tauira and I - learning about you as a person, your strengths and your goals, and bringing my own experiences to the table in order to weave together a kete to hold your newly found mātauranga.

Cee has been my tutor for months. I started with zero understanding of Te Reo Maori but Cee has guided me through the basics to now have a good understanding of the language, pronunciation and general communication skills. They teach at a pace that is suited to you and always open to answering questions. Cee has created a lovely warm and safe place to learn and It has made the journey so enjoyable. Highly recommend Cee.

Tēnā koe, I 100% recommend Cee as a te reo Māori tutor. I had her as a kaiako and her teaching style is easy to follow, fun, encouraging, with a good dose of pushing our limits to extend our learning. I felt safe and supported with her and learnt so much! Ngā mihi nui!

Cee was my kaiawhina in 2022 and has had a huge impact on my learning. Cee covers a range of learning styles in teaching to get the best response from tauira, and most importantly keeps learning fun and engaging. Her commitment to tauira success and development is balanced with her caring and hands on approach to teaching.
Tēnā rawa atu koe, Cee!

I have been working with Cee the past year. Cee has a great mix of knowledge, passion and caring for her tauira and Te Reo Māori. Cee has an authentic, warm and supportive teaching style. I would recommend Cee to anyone who wants a great learning partner who gets over any roadblock every session. Cee is the real deal and does a mean waiata! Ngā mihi ki a koe Cee!
