About Ben

Hey, I’m Ben. I’ve been playing guitar for over ten years, and I’ve always had a thing for figuring stuff out and helping people do the same - whether it’s music, school, or something totally random. I’m a computer science graduate with a creative streak, and guitar has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember. I write and produce music, I love learning new skills just for the sake of learning, and I genuinely enjoy teaching. I’m big on clarity, progress, and keeping lessons practical and down-to-earth. If you're looking for someone who actually listens, adapts, and knows how to explain things without the ego - I’m your guy.

About the lesson

I tailor every lesson to the student, no one-size-fits-all approach here. Whether you're just picking up a guitar or looking to break out of a plateau, I’ve got you. I teach everything from chords and strumming to fingerstyle, soloing, songwriting, and even singing while playing. We’ll focus on actual songs you love, building theory and technique naturally along the way. Lessons are practical, fun, and built to help you make real progress - no endless exercises with no context. I'm self-taught with over 10 years of experience, so I know what it's like to learn outside the box. He is a talented, highly knowledgeable and patient teacher, who has fostered my son’s curiosity and has made learning to program fun. Ben designs their sessions based on my son’s current interests and keeps him
engaged and on task. My son looks forward to his lessons every week. For the summer, we added multiple sessions per week in lieu of a tech camp. Ben created a hilarious game with multiple levels (on his own time) to teach various coding principles, which my son is thoroughly enjoying. Ben is truly a gem!
