About Alan
Hi, my name is Alan. I am a experienced tutor with years of experience working with students of different backgrounds. I graduated from the University of California Davis with a bachelors in psychology. During my time in school, I've done private tutoring sessions and volunteered at local schools which was in collaboration with a nonprofit organization called Reading Partners. A bit of a background about myself, I am currently aspiring to become a software developer and am seeking a part-time position. If you are in need of help, I would be very interested in being your tutor.

The way I like to teach is that I like to get involvement from both parties (student & tutor). I think the best way of learning and having materials be ingrained is with the act of doing and repetition. Sometimes we may struggle a bit, but that's completely normal. If it is someone new that I am working with, I prefer to get a feel of where the student stands in terms of their proficiency, so that I could create a plan that caters to them.
