About Noah
Friendly, patient and passionate! Maths and science have been a big part of my life for as long as I can remember and my goal is always to impart some of that enthusiasm onto my students. I believe everyone learns differently and that flexibility is key. I pride myself on listening closely to tutees and parents and finding what works best for them. I take students' progress seriously and where necessary I like to set homework as way of both gauging understanding and providing extra support. Maths and science can be daunting subjects and in my experience success comes through building academic confidence and a can-do approach to problems. While it can be a pragmatic tool for less confident students, rote learning is something that I try to avoid where possible in favour of inspiring genuine engagement with the subject matter. I do 1-2 hour Physics and Maths online sessions. A typical session might include a comprehensive run-through of a topic, with students able to ask plenty of questions, and a personalised set of take-home notes at the end. Alternatively, a student might bring a set of challenging problems to work through together.
