About Christophe

Native French speaker with master's degree in International Business & Translation. At 30 years old, I have spent large parts of my adult life studying & working abroad in the UK & Spain, and have a deep understanding of the languages & cultures. I have 3 years of language tutoring experience.

About the lesson

I adapt my teaching style to my students, to make sure I am helping them improve on their weak spots and maintain their confidence. I believe that confidence is key when it comes to languages. I like to use an article or radio or TV show to launch a discussion, then teach grammar and vocabulary based on the topic that week.

Perfect! Christophe is very patient and adapts his teaching style to the goals and personality of the student. You can tell he comes prepared to each lesson though he has the flexibility not to follow the plan if required. I would definitely recommend him as a tutor!

Perfect! Christophe was my tutor for a few months and he was an incredibly patient teacher, able to adjust the level of difficulty depending on me. I was most impressed by how well prepared he was, with structured lesson plans, resources and exercises. He frequently checked in for feedback on any changes I might like to make in my tutorials. We explored French and francophone culture as well as working on grammar. I would have loved to continued my lessons, but other commitments got in the way, unfortunately. Regardless, I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking to improve their French!

Christophe is an excellent tutor. His lessons are carefully planned and tailored towards the areas that you'd like to or need to work on most. I was using Duolingo for my French but felt that it wasn't helping me to progress beyond a certain level. Tuition with Christophe has made a huge difference to both my French grammar, listening, pronunciation and vocabulary. Highly recommend.

He is very friendly and approachable. His lessons are clearly structured which is really helpful as you move at your own pace and only proceed when ready. I learnt French at school (A-Level) but lost it afterwards and working with Christophe has really brought it all back! Would definitely recommend!
