About Eshanti
Hi! My name is Eshanti. I am a Hard-of-Hearing college student who earned a Seal of Biliteracy in American Sign Language. While I was in high school, I spent some of my free time helping and working with grade-school children. That experience helped me develop patience, responsibility, and an understanding of how to support younger learners. I enjoy helping new ASL learners feel comfortable and confident. I offer beginner tutoring and practice support, but I am not a certified ASL teacher or professional interpreter.

My lessons provide patient and supportive practice for beginner ASL learners, college students taking ASL 1 or ASL 2, and families learning together. As a Hard-of-Hearing college student with a Seal of Biliteracy in ASL, I bring personal experience and an understanding of visual communication to my tutoring. Lessons may include fingerspelling, numbers, beginner vocabulary, introductions, facial expressions, basic grammar, receptive practice, and conversation activities. Each tutoring day includes one scheduled 45-minute online lesson for $15. I am a beginner tutor, not a certified ASL teacher or professional interpreter.
