About Stuart
I teach at Telford School of Music, but this advert is for private lessons. I am DBS certified but do expect parents to be present in lessons and encourage their participation or just note taking. For those who are experienced, we can review the direction of lessons at any time to ensure that you get what you want from the lessons. Of course, I may well suggest things you need to address - that is my job! If you are completely new to the guitar and don't want to commit to buying one straight away, you can try one of mine for size in the lesson. I will of course advise on buying a suitable guitar if needed. I have a vast repertoire of styles and songs or pieces from which to choose, so we should find something that works for your level and tastes.

Lessons are tailored to what you want to achieve (which usually develops as students progress). My aim is to get you playing as soon as possible, to demystify the guitar fretboard and musical theory. I will present you with small chunks to practise, which we will build on to gain confidence and facility. Beginners to experienced players welcome. I have been teaching pop, rock, jazz and classical for some decades and currently teach at Telford Music School. I teach from 10 years old to any age. I have taught many late starters and improvers, so don't be worried about having a try! My lessons take place at my home in Wellington but I can visit depending on distance. Lessons are for 45 minutes or an hour. Lessons are a place to make mistakes and not to stress or worry - they should always be fun and my aim is to inspire you to get the best sound you can.
