About Shalini

Namaste! My name is Shalini Kesharwani, and I am a dedicated, professional Hindi teacher with a total of 10 years of teaching experience.

I spent 7+ years delivering successful offline results before transitioning fully to online global tutoring over the last 3 years. I've taught students from different educational boards thus I'm well versed in frequent doubts and concept failures student face disturbing their base for the language

I specialise in making Hindi simple, approachable, and practical for non-native speakers, expats, and heritage learners. As someone who speaks English as a second language, I know exactly what it feels like to learn a new language, feel nervous, or struggle with sentence structures. Because of this, my classroom is a strictly zero-judgment zone. My teaching style focuses deeply on clear explanations of why rules exist, rather than just forcing you to memorize them. In fact, my international students—including expats from Japan, Singapore, France and Western countries—frequently share that my structured breakdowns helped them finally speak confidently after failing with other teachers. Whether you want to fix your grammar, understand Bollywood, or speak fluidly with locals, I am here to guide you step-by-step.

About the lesson

Hey! The classes are for all levels, age and requirements; spoken Hindi, grammar, conversation improvement, accent, etc.

Every lesson is completely tailored to your personal goals and learning pace. I map out custom learning paths covering speaking, listening, reading, and vocabulary building.

What we will cover in our sessions:

■ Real-World Conversation: Building your daily vocabulary, correcting sentence structures, and mastering tenses so you can converse naturally.

■ Grammar Made Simple: Dismantling complex rules and matras into easy-to-understand formulas.

■ Accent & Listening Comprehension: Helping you understand native speeds and local phrasing.

■ Cultural Insights: Learning the context behind the words so you can connect deeply with native Hindi speakers.

My Teaching Philosophy: I use digital tools, interactive exercises, and customized homework assignments. I am an incredibly patient teacher; we can repeat a concept five, ten, or twenty times until you feel completely confident with it.
Book a trial session today, and let's map out your journey to fluency together!

Perfect! I have taken many classes with many other tutors and no one has been as patient and fully understanding like Shalini. She is able to explain all my doubts SO well and clear any confusions. She incorporates conversation, terminology, concepts, reading and sees my level exactly at where I am, whereas other tutors would treat me as a beginner from level 0. I am so grateful to have found her and appreciate her kindness every class! Dhanyavaad, Shalini ji!

Perfect! We are extremely grateful to our Shalini mam for the wonderful support and dedication she has shown. My son's Hindi foundation was very weak initially, but she patiently worked on it step by step, building his understanding slowly and clearly from the basics.

What impressed us the most is her ability to identify where a child struggles and strengthen the fundamentals before moving ahead. Because of her teaching approach, my son has not only improved academically but has also developed a genuine interest in learning Hindi, which we never expected earlier.

Even within a short period of time, we have seen tremendous improvement in his confidence and performance in the subject. Her teaching methods, patience, and commitment truly make a difference. We sincerely appreciate her efforts and highly recommend her to any parent looking for a strong foundation in Hindi for their child.

Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?
Hindi is one of the most popular languages in India. Being a native speaker, I've always found it to be simple but glorious; just like a mother.
What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?
As a native speaker with an immense interest in teaching, I thought of teaching Hindi. But I was not sure at all if I could. That's when my daughter motivated me and here I am!
How does your work help society?
In my opinion, teaching anything is the most noble profession. I wish that people from all over the world learn and feel the own-ness that Hindi possesses.
If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?
My mother. Mother is our first teacher; and so is our mother tongue. We start understanding, talking, and expressing, all in our mother tongue. My love for Hindi comes from my love for my mother.
Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.
Teaching is my passion. But apart from that I have many hobbies like sketching, painting, and dancing.
Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?
I remember in my initial days having a student of standard four, who couldn't read or write anything. I couldn't understand how to improve his academic capabilities as I had never in my life taught any child like that and also because I was very new to teaching. At a point, I thought of quitting, but the same day I saw him trying to read, and I felt that all he needed was the right guidance and unwavering support. I did my best and it turned out to be fruitful. I feel immense gratitude for him today because he is the student who taught me to be confident and determined in what I do.
