About Millie

I have many years of both tutoring experience and in classroom experience. I absolutely love when a student makes progress on a subject and has a new found confidence as a result of the work we have done together. Finding the way through a tricky problem becomes an adventure, rather than a battle field!

About the lesson

I am an exceptional maths tutor (having collected a few awards in my time) with a passion for helping students excel in mathematics using creative and exciting techniques. With 6 years of experience in the classroom and 3 years tutoring, I have developed a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and the ability to effectively communicate them to students of all levels. 
Qualifications:
- Design Degree 1st Class Hons
- PGCE
- 10 years working in Product Design and Engineering

I am very experienced in the following exam boards and curriculums:
- AQA GCSE & A Level - OCR GCSE & A Level
- National curriculum in UK KS3&4
- 11+ examinations
- Private school entrance examinations

I believe in creating a supportive and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring mathematical concepts. I understands that each student has unique learning needs and adapt my teaching methods in creative ways. I employ a combination of visual aids, real-life examples, and interactive exercises to make complex mathematical concepts more accessible and relatable.  Areas of Expertise: - Algebra - Geometry - Calculus - Trigonometry - Probability - Mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills  I have a proven track record of helping students improve their grades and develop a deeper understanding of mathematics. Perfect! Millie taught our daughter the last few months before her AQA maths GCSEs - and she was a Godsend! She quickly established where more help was needed and was full of ideas and ‘tricks’ to help solve problems. It was the first time that our daughter really engaged with maths and Millie had a great rapport and fantastic way of delivering her teaching without ever judging, which made for enjoyable and collaborative sessions. We were so impressed by Millie’s informative and friendly teaching - she absolutely was the key to success for our daughter and we can’t recommend her enough.
