About Jorge
I started DJing on my iPhone in middle school, using an app called "Djay 2". What started off as a hobby became my whole world. I fell in love with the art of DJing, and from there, never went a day without DJing or listening to sets. Over the past 10 years, I've gone from playing solo in my garage to playing 2,500 person rooms. I've had the experience of playing in many clubs and venues across California, and have opened for major artists like Diplo, Amine, Cordae, and more. As you can imagine, a lot of lessons have come from these experiences. I've learned how to command a room and how to use the art of DJing to connect with your personal creativity and with a diverse crowd. I want to teach the lessons I have learned throughout the years.

Everyone has their own unique style, taste, and sound, and my goal is to make you tap into that creativity and release it! I teach all skill levels: beginners, intermediate, advanced. Each lesson plan would look different dependent on skill level, and I will cater to what your specific goals for each session and in general. A sample of what lessons with me may look like dependent on skill level: - Beginners: Foundational skills (beatmatching, phrasing, song selection, EQ, cues, all the basics!) - Intermediate/Advanced: Creative transitions/techniques, how to command a crowd, workflow, how to prepare for sets, etc). With over 10 years experience using all types of equipment and playing all genres imaginable, I've learned many valuable lessons on how to cater to a crowd and how to create an unforgettable night. I'm excited to teach you the lessons I've learned along the way, and how to have you not just connect with a crowd, but connect with your creativity as well.
