About Melville

I am a mainframe IT professional, managing, analyzing and programming in COBOL and IDEAL/DATCOM, as well as a qualified Maths tutor.

I have tutored maths for 3 years and have had 20 students. All of them passed after struggling initially and many went on to take science degrees.

I like to teach one on one. I like my students to tell me what they think is required so I can gently point them in the right direction. I also show them a methodology in which frequent brief revision eliminates the need for mind-boggling swotting at exam time.
