About Peter
I hold a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Strathclyde, and Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Chemistry from the University of Glasgow. Before I started tutoring I spent ten years as a postdoctoral fellow conducting academic, government and private research. I started tutoring because I wanted to offer help and encouragement to students who were struggling with school courses. I also wanted to offer support and advice to students taking advanced classes and those preparing for university courses.

Since 2003 I have been tutoring high school students of all abilities in chemistry, mathematics, and physics. I specialise in tutoring the curriculum (N5, H, AH) of Qualifications Scotland. I am DBS-certificated and offer in-person or online tuition. My approach is to tailor my tutoring style to the student's needs. I am patient and encouraging, and have experience tutoring students with learning challenges (dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD). In addition, I have many years of experience tutoring students taking advanced classes and preparing for university courses.
