About Diego

I hold a PhD in the humanities (Pisa, Nice), summa cum laude, focusing on Italian and comparative literature. I am also an honorary research fellow in Italian literature (Pisa) and a researcher with international experience. I hold a BA and a MA (summa cum laude) in literature and philosophy (Genoa). Besides, I work as a high school teacher, private tutor and editor.

I have been giving private lessons in Latin, Greek, Italian, English, philosophy and history for years since graduating from the Liceo Classico (100/100). Having passed the open competitive exam for state-level employment, I am a qualified philosophy and history teacher in high schools in Italy.
As a primary school teacher, I have taught Italian, mathematics, science, English, history and music.

Building a responsible, humane and communicative approach to study is the fundamental drive of my teaching activity, to which I give great importance, first and foremost, from a social point of view.

About the lesson

Given my teaching experience at all levels (from primary school to high school, from university to private lessons), I will adjust my teaching to the students' level of education and competence.

The lesson will be conducted in a cooperative atmosphere and in open dialogue; I will focus on these (and other) topics:

- Grammar (grammatical, logical, sentence analysis, etc.)
- Oral and written comprehension
- Conversation in Italian
- Italian literature and culture
- Help with translations, essays, text analysis and assignments in general, etc.

I constantly adapt my teaching methodology to the student. Generally speaking, the intent is to provide the student with tools so that the lesson is less a matter of 'catching up' and more a quest for improvement to the point of excellence.
In this regard, I will provide methodological guidelines to complete the lessons' notional part.
