About Camden

Hi! My name is Camden and I am a PhD-educated bioinformatician working in San Diego. I have 10+ years of experience tutoring and teaching Math and Science all the way from middle school to college level. I'm very good at breaking down concepts in an easy-to-understand way and work to provide "true understanding" of the concepts in my students. I know just what questions to ask to probe a student's knowledge and try to push for a love of learning in my students. Typically, I can move a B/C level student up to an A level student right away and provide the necessary motivation to push a student to the next level. I specialize in AP test prep as well and can tutor any AP math/science course to a 5 test score.

About the lesson

I've been tutoring students since I was in high school and love to provide help to my students including mentorship. I was the top performing TA in my department during grad school and won the award for having the best student scores at the end of each semester on final exams multiple times. I was also able to get a 1550 on the SAT and 800s on each SATII (Math, physics, writing, etc.). I can provide SAT test prep for Math, Reading, and Writing, and will go through practice exams with students and explain what can be done to "play" the test and boost their scores even without rote memorization of vocabulary.
