About Gloria
I am a PhD graduate with ten years of lecturing experience in Health and Education. Currently in a part-time post-doc position in the University but looking to tutor casually. I am experienced with tutoring English as Second Language (ESL) for students aiming to sit for IELTS and International University students in academic writing and research methods. I have had ten years of teaching experience with a wide range of students - from struggling students to highly motivated students.

I am a nurturing and responsive teacher. I am also reflective in my teaching - often adjusting my teaching to what worked and what didn't work for my students. Depending on the student's learning style, I can cater the lesson to meet their learning needs, hence a typical class or lesson with me will see me using a variety of strategies such as role playing, flipped classroom, discussions, online quizzes/activities, brainstorming, peer teaching, use of videos and/or music.
All of the students I tutored privately had reported that they'd learned a lot and that their grades had improved. In fact, it was because of a recommendation by my past students that I decided to take on private tutoring in my free time as I was frequently being asked if I could tutor them in private.
