About Jack
I am a Sustainability and Circular Economy expert with 8+ years R&D experience across both academia and industry. I obtained my PhD in Chemistry from the University of Bath in 2023, focusing on renewable plastic production and recycling. Prior to this, I graduated with Master's degrees in Chemistry (MChem, First-Class) and Sustainable Chemical Technologies (MRes, Distinction) from the University of Bath in 2018 and 2019, respectively.
I have 5+ years experience tutoring both Chemistry (up to undergraduate level) and Maths (up to A level) across an array of different formats, including 1-to-1 tutoring, project student supervision, group tutorials and supporting university practical lab sessions.

I offer personalised lessons for students, focusing on Chemistry (up to undergraduate level) and Maths (up to A level). We will start with first understanding the student's learning aims, ensuring each lesson is tailored towards your needs and goals. We will then explore each desired topic together before consolidating learning. Previously, I have found guided problem solving exercises, real world examples and regular recap tests to be effective methods. However, learning is both a journey and unique to the individual, so we will adapt along the way depending on what works best for you as we progress towards your goals.
Finally, my aim is not to solely help students achieve higher grades but to develop the confidence and skill set to tackle new concepts and problems with a growth mindset.
