About Willow
Hiya, I'm a Mathematics PhD student at Imperial College London and I want to help you learn maths in a judgement free way! I work with students from GCSE right through to A-Level (including Further Maths), as well as early year university students looking for extra support.
Alongside my current studies, I have hands on tutoring experience through MathPals at the University of Edinburgh, where I tutored first year maths students, and I completed a year long course there in mathematical education, linking theory to practice of teaching in schools and learning about how maths is actually learnt and understood.

My style is flexible and built around what you need support on week by week. You can message me an area or topic you've been struggling with a couple of days beforehand and I will prepare some example problems around it, or you can send me some questions you've been stuck on and I can help you understand not just the answer, but the methodology to solve similar unseen problems.
Lessons usually run for an hour, with some leniency if we are immersed in a topic or problem. If you ever want to explore more advanced material (either for fun or to get ahead on future content) just let me know and I am more than happy to use one of our sessions to teach you something new!
