About Elliott
I am a Physics PhD student at the University of Liverpool. My PhD specialises in nuclear structure and I could talk for days about it!
I thoroughly enjoy working with young people and have done so before as a leader at a local youth fellowship. I myself have been on the blunt end of poor teaching before but have also been lucky enough to receive great teaching as well. Witnessing first hand the difference that good teaching makes is why I feel compelled to give young people great tutoring and help with their work. I enjoy the demonstrating and marking work I do for undergraduate Physics students at the university and always feel compelled to go the extra mile when helping a student figure out a tough problem, or explaining the solution to them. A good teacher really can help you go beyond what you thought you could achieve!

My lessons will be structured around working through past paper examples with a student and strengthening weak areas however, I am always open to tailoring the lesson to suit a student's needs. Sessions will typically be an hour-long.
I achieved an A in A-level maths before going to The University of Liverpool to complete a Masters degree in Physics graded at 2:1. I am currently in the first year of my PhD working in nuclear physics. I demonstrate and mark undergraduate classes as part of my PhD role at the university and also have 4 years worth of experience working with young people at a local parish. My lessons are for GCSE and A-level maths students.
