About Noor
I am an English teacher, currently completing my doctorate degree. I really enjoy assisting and guiding students through the whole essay and dissertation process, making sure that you know what you're writing and not just paraphrasing words you found in articles. I also love the process of academic surgical writing: going through each paragraph to make sure it makes sense and connects with the others. These are high-level writing skills that improve over time and with the right guidance. This is what I'm here for! To me, fluency in speaking or flair in writing is not about being perfect or having a certain accent. It’s about not being scared to make mistakes. Writing is an art, and it is deeply personal to each author. If you want to be a better writer than you were yesterday and work on your skills strategically, let's talk!

My lessons are tailored for university students, from undergraduates to postgraduates. Lesson length depends on your writing, typically 30 to 60 minutes. I hold a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA), a professional recognition often required for university lecturers. My teaching approach: 1) We go through your writing together, step by step. 2) I provide practical tips and ask open-ended questions to encourage critical thinking. 3) Our shared goal is to make your writing clear, simple, and coherent.
