About Zara
I’m a PhD-qualified scientist with a background in chemistry, drug discovery and pharmaceutical research. I have always been passionate about science and particularly enjoy making complex ideas easier to understand and accessible to others. Throughout my academic and professional career, I have developed extensive experience communicating scientific concepts to people with different levels of knowledge and understanding. I want to use this experience to help students build confidence, strengthen their understanding of science and achieve their academic goals.

My lessons are structured, engaging and tailored to each student’s individual learning style, goals and level of understanding. I focus on breaking down complex scientific concepts into clear, manageable explanations and helping students understand the reasoning behind them, rather than simply memorising information. I aim to create a supportive and encouraging environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence and developing their problem-solving skills. Lessons can be adapted to focus on specific topics, exam preparation, homework support or areas where a student needs extra help.
