About Dan
I'm a PhD-qualified materials scientist with 17+ years of senior R&D and innovation leadership at Unilever — one of the world's largest consumer goods companies. I now work as an independent consultant and leadership coach, and I take on a small number of tutoring students where I can make a genuine difference.
I bring 17+ years of real-world scientific and business experience into every session — showing you not just how to pass your exams, but how the subject actually works in practice. That context builds genuine understanding, not just exam technique. I'm a coach too, which helps me to quickly understand how best to help.

My approach
Every student is different. I take time to understand where you're stuck, what's clicked and what hasn't, and I build sessions around your specific gaps and goals. I'm patient, structured and direct — I'll tell you honestly what needs work and give you the tools to fix it. I'm a coach too, so I can quickly understand your needs and set out a plan to achieve them with you.
