• Can you tell us about your first experience using a computer?

My first experience with a computer was during my early school days. I remember being fascinated by the screen and the keyboard, eager to explore how pressing keys would produce actions on the screen. The curiosity to understand the inner workings of the machine sparked my journey into technology. I started learning basic software and programming skills early on, which laid the foundation for my career in statistics and econometrics. This experience also instilled in me a deep appreciation for how technology can be a powerful tool for solving real-world problems. As an online tutor, this fascination translates into using innovative tools to make learning interactive, engaging, and accessible for my students.

• What is the technological evolution that has marked you most and what will be, in your eyes, a turning point in this field?

The evolution of statistical software and data analysis platforms has had the most significant impact on my professional journey. The development of tools like R, Python, and advanced econometric software such as STATA and EViews has revolutionized how we approach data interpretation and decision-making. As an online tutor, I utilize these tools to provide students with hands-on experience in data analysis, ensuring they acquire practical skills that are highly valued in the professional world. Looking ahead, I believe the integration of artificial intelligence into data analytics will be a turning point. Machine learning and AI-driven statistical modeling are already reshaping industries, and their ability to process vast datasets in real time is bound to create a paradigm shift in problem-solving. I see my role as a tutor evolving alongside these advancements, helping students stay ahead in a rapidly changing technological landscape.

• Explain your expertise, your interest in it, and, more broadly, its importance in the computer world.

I specialize in statistics, econometrics, and data analysis, areas that play a crucial role in decision-making across various industries. My expertise includes financial time series, biostatistics, and stochastic processes, which are integral to fields like economics, healthcare, and technology. These domains are critical for extracting meaningful insights from data, predicting trends, and informing strategies. For my students, this means learning skills that directly translate to careers in data science, research, and analytics. In today's digital era, where data is considered the new oil, the ability to analyze and interpret information effectively is indispensable, making my field vital for innovation and progress. Through online tutoring, I aim to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application, empowering students to thrive in the computer world.

• Do so-called 'visionaries', such as Bill Gates, Steve Jobs, and Mark Zuckerberg inspire you, or do you have other role models?

While I admire the visionaries like Bill Gates and Steve Jobs for their revolutionary contributions to technology, my true inspiration comes from academics and researchers who have advanced statistical methods. For example, pioneers in econometrics and computational statistics have laid the groundwork for modern data analysis techniques. Their dedication to research and teaching has profoundly influenced my career and the way I approach complex problems. As an online tutor, I channel this inspiration by bringing cutting-edge knowledge to my students, ensuring they learn the latest tools and techniques to stay competitive in the IT field.

• Provide a valuable anecdote related to your subject or your days at school.

During my undergraduate years, I once struggled with a complex econometrics project. After weeks of effort, I realized the solution lay in simplifying the problem-breaking it down into smaller, manageable parts. This approach not only helped me ace the project but also taught me a valuable lesson: in statistics and life, clarity in understanding the problem is half the solution. This philosophy continues to guide my teaching. For instance, when tutoring online, I use this method to help students navigate complex topics by breaking them into understandable steps. It's always rewarding to see a student's confidence grow as they grasp challenging concepts with ease.

• What would you say to an uncomfortable person in front of a screen who says that "IT is too complicated"?

I would tell them that every expert was once a beginner. IT and computational tools might seem daunting initially, but with the right guidance and patience, anyone can learn. The key is to start with small, achievable goals and gradually build confidence. As an online tutor, I specialize in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and tackling challenges. I break down complex concepts into simple, digestible lessons, making IT approachable and even enjoyable. Learning is a journey, and I'm here to make that journey enjoyable and rewarding by ensuring that each student progresses at their own pace.

• What are your other passions, related or non-related to computers?

Outside of my professional expertise, I am passionate about teaching and mentoring. I find immense joy in helping students achieve their academic goals and build confidence in their abilities. Additionally, I enjoy reading about global economics and technological trends, which keeps me updated on how data is shaping our world. On a personal note, I love exploring nature and traveling, as it provides a fresh perspective and inspires creativity. These interests enrich my tutoring by allowing me to connect with students on various levels, making learning a holistic and engaging experience.
