About Cata
Hi! My name is Cata, and I offer tutoring in English, essay writing, Social Studies, and Geography.
I would love to work with you to reach your goals in studying English or writing academic essays in the social sciences.
I work with my students to develop lesson plans that work for each student individually and alleviate any anxiety or stress you may have about your lessons. I offer support with English language learning or with English writing such as essay outlining. I can also provide tutoring in social science subjects such as geography, regional studies, and urban studies.

I am currently a PhD student in geography, but I previously worked for several years as a Spanish/Latin American Geography teacher at the high school level. I also have experience as a writing consultant for academics and nonprofits.
I base my lesson plans around student-centered learning models and differentiated instruction. I work with a small number of students at a time in order to offer personalized lessons that align with each student's specific goals. My skill set is best tailored to work with high school students, undergraduates, or independent adult learners.
