About Joe
I specialise in providing both tuition for students wanting to supplement the teaching given on their University degrees and teaching programming to young people and adults. I am currently studying for a PhD in Computer Science at the University of Cambridge – where I have amassed over 150 hours of supervision experience (2-on-1 face-to-face Cambridge tutoring). I graduated in June 2017 with a first class BA degree (1st) in Computer Science awarded from Sidney Sussex College, Cambridge. Throughout my PhD I have thoroughly enjoyed teaching individuals and/or small groups of undergraduate students in all three years of their degree from introductory courses all the way through to advanced level Computer Science. I have accumulated a large amount of high quality teaching materials, programming exercises and theoretical questions, which I will use to aid teaching. I have also written software using C++ and Java for companies including Amazon. I would be very interested in teaching the following programming languages/frameworks: - C/C++ - Java - Haskell - Python - Scala - Swift - iOS - Android development I am friendly and approachable and I look forward to hearing from you.
