About Mathew
I am a current physical therapist with two years of high school tutoring experience. I have tutored students individually and in classroom settings in various math and science subjects. I also mentor college students who are planning to pursue healthcare professions (medicine, dentistry, physical therapy, nursing, etc) through my business, Health Grad Advantage.

My teaching is framed individually around the specific student. I first seek to understand their background knowledge, thought process and where they feel "stuck" in the problem or question. I ask clarifying questions to help guide their thought process and provide strategies to help them reason through problems. I firmly believe that students should be train their brain to think and not to simply memorize the answers.

Additional charge of $1/mi of travel (round trip). Free cancellation if I'm notified at least 8 hours in advance of the start of the lesson. If within 8 hours notice, then 20% charge for the total expected fee (hourly+mileage).
