About Maysaa
Hi! My name is Maysaa, I’m 23 years old, and I’m currently in PA school working toward becoming a healthcare provider. I’ve always had a passion for helping people, and tutoring has been one of the ways I’ve been able to do that.
I have experience tutoring children and helping them understand concepts that may have initially felt confusing or difficult. One of my favorite parts of tutoring is seeing that moment when everything finally “clicks” for a student. I love finding different ways to explain something until it makes sense, because I know that not everyone learns the same way.
A little about me: I’m naturally a very curious person, I love learning new things, and I’m always looking for ways to improve myself. Being in PA school has definitely taught me how important patience, consistency, and good study habits are, and I love passing those skills along to my students.
Random things that I love: Legos, Tennis, Reading, chocolate ice cream, and going on walks.

I believe a good tutor should do more than just explain an answer. They should make a student feel like, “Okay, I actually understand this now.” That is the kind of tutor I try to be.
I don't believe in using the exact same teaching style with every student. Some students learn best when something is explained step-by-step, while others need examples, practice, or a different way of looking at the same problem. I take the time to figure out what works for each student instead of rushing through a lesson just to get through the material.
I'm also a big believer in making students feel comfortable asking questions. There is no such thing as a “stupid” question in my lessons. If something doesn't make sense, we slow down, look at it from another angle, and keep working until it does.
I like lessons to feel more like working with someone than being talked at.
We usually start by checking in on what the student is struggling with and what they want to accomplish. From there, I'll explain the topic in a simple way, use examples that make sense, and work through a few problems together. Then I'll have the student try it on their own so I can see what they've understood and where they may need a little more support.
I also like ending lessons with a quick recap so the student leaves knowing exactly what they learned and what they should focus on next.
