I have known Ted as a colleague and friend for 15 years. He was one of the most trusted and knowledgeable physicians in our hospital system. He also was a valued mentor for younger physicians who looked to him for guidance and support. 12 years ago our hospital system decided to install EPIC as our new electronic medical record. Ted and I were tasked to build the documentation portion for physicians and advanced practice practitioners. I learned first hand his talents not only for learning but more importantly for teaching. From the go live until his last day at our hospital 11 years later he was the go to person for any issues with medical record documentation. He is sorely missed.
