About Inyani
I'm Inyani, a physician in neurosurgery residency with a bachelor's in electrical and computer engineering and a master's in mechanical engineering, now doing a PhD in electrical and computer engineering.
Math and physics sit underneath everything I've studied. In lessons I focus on how the ideas connect, so students can handle problems they haven't seen before instead of memorizing steps. I'm patient and organized, and you'll always know what we're working on and why.
I'm in Calgary from Thursday to Sunday for in-person sessions, and I teach online on weekdays. A free 15-minute consultation is a good first step to see whether we're the right fit.

I tutor Grade 10-12 students in Math 20-1, Math 30-1 and Math 31 (calculus), and Physics 20 and 30, following the Alberta program of studies.
How a lesson works: we start from what the class is covering right now, find the gap behind the mistakes, and rebuild the idea from the ground up before practising. In physics, that means understanding why a formula works, not just which one to use. Each session ends with a few problems the student solves on their own, so we both know the idea has stuck. For Grade 12 courses, we practise diploma-style questions using the official formula sheets and data booklets.
The first session includes a short assessment of where the student is. Parents get a brief written update after every session: what we covered, how it went, and what comes next. Lessons are one-on-one, online on weekdays, and in person in Calgary from Thursday to Sunday (at a public location or at your home).
I'm a co-founder of Groundwork Academics, a small Calgary tutoring team. My co-founder Winjoy covers chemistry, biology and junior high math, so if your student needs help in more than one subject, we can plan it together.
