From Jazz to classical, from big band to marching band, Whitty will patiently go through every bar with you. His pragmatic style of teaching will have you master intricate details without spending too much time on any one thing.

I have played with Whitty, under his leadership for 4 years now, and his passion for trumpet playing translates into his calm, composed and courteous approach to mentorship; always helping me through times of need and giving me as many opportunities as possible.

I would highly recommend Whitty for any trumpet player, either beginner or experienced looking to enhance their skills.

I met whitty when he was performing at a local pub, his band was fantastic and the trumpet was so beautiful I wanted to learn for myself I was able to speak to him after and found out that he actually taught the trumpet as we and was able to book some lessons with him. he was lovely to learn from and was always patient and understanding he helped me move from a complete beginner to performing in my first school concert, with his continued help I became 1st chair trumpet at school. thank you so much whitty I really appreciate it, and I would highly recommend him to anyone wanting to learn.

Whittaker is such a supportive and encouraging trumpet teacher. Although I only did trumpet lessons for a short time with him, his lessons were to a very high standard, explaining complex concepts and techniques simply. I would highly recommend him to any student wanting to learn trumpet
