About Jeremy
With a recently completed theoretical physics PhD, I have a deep understanding of the material and its context within science. I am an excellent communicator, and started running university laboratories and tutorials in 2011 and private tutoring in 2018. As a father of a four-year-old, I also have a lot of patience! :)

As a PhD graduate I highly value understanding of the material over rote learning, in addition to problem solving abilities. I also believe in good study and exam preparation habits. It is always my ultimate goal that you become a better student and learner, and you will likely benefit from my methodologies in all of your subjects and exam performance.
Every person learns and understands things differently. In our first session together we will identify your particular strengths and weaknesses before deciding upon a learning plan. In typical subsequent sessions we will briefly review the material, where I will assist with any concepts you are finding difficult, before working through relevant problem sets together.
Working through problems is a fantastic approach to learning. You are applying your knowledge in a practical way and in a similar nature to your assessments. It also allows me to examine your thought process to better help you improve your understanding, problem solving abilities, and exam performance.
