About William
I have a PhD in computational physics and a BS in mathematics. I work in a lab during the week, but my first love is teaching, and tutoring students like you are my favorite thing I do.
I've been tutoring professionally for over 10 years and took my practice primarily online in 2020.

I get excited about science and math topics, and I hope you will to! I think classrooms that focus on memorization do students a disservice. The best learning happens when you realize that what you're working on now is really just an extension of the last thing you learned, which is really just an extension of the thing before that! Curiosity and playfulness are the best tools for learning how the world works, and that is true whether you're 12 or 22.
I like to work out problems together on a whiteboard, old school style, but there's also a lot of really great videos, websites and games that can help a student see a topic from a new angle. We live in the future!
