About Michael
Each student is different, and each student learns differently. In light of this, I have a very pedagogical approach to this, and often look to the students foundation. My goal is never just to make sure a student gets a good grade, but also to develop an understanding of what the student needs to properly internalize said information.

In terms of my qualifications, I have been officially teaching undergraduate physics since my 3rd year in college (2020-2021) by leading conferences and as a teaching assistant. I have also volunteered a lot of time as a dance mentor for my collegiate ballroom dance team, and was elected senior dance mentor of the dance team. Through the program, I designed the teams curriculum, trained new dance mentors, and continued teaching dancers. Finally, I was hired on to teach with Sylvan, and I have been teaching everything, from 3rd grade math to SAT prep.
With so much experience in a wide range of subjects and as someone with ADHD, I am adept at adapting to new situations and learning styles.
I think more importantly though, I enjoy teaching myself, especially when I see students get that "a-ha!" moment. I definitely have a large focus on fundamentals though, which helps me plan a foundation to ensure that students actually understand what they're doing, instead of simply memorizing the information.
