About Liza
I am a qualified Physiotherapist with a strong academic background in biomedical science, immunology, human biology and exercise science. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical and Molecular Diagnostics from TU Dublin, a Master’s degree in Immunology and Global Health from Maynooth University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences. I also have experience in Strength and Conditioning, giving me a strong practical understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and human performance.
My aim is to create a professional and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, identifying gaps in their knowledge and building confidence in their ability.

My approach to tutoring is to make complex topics clear, practical and easier to remember. I focus on helping students understand the “why” behind a topic rather than relying on memorisation alone. I use simple explanations, diagrams, real-life examples and active recall to build both understanding and confidence.
Lessons are tailored to the individual student and their goals. We can focus on specific topics they are struggling with, work through course material step by step, revise for exams, or practise answering questions effectively. I also like to connect topics together so students can see the bigger picture, particularly in areas such as biology, anatomy, physiology and exercise science.
A typical lesson lasts around 60 minutes, although this can be adjusted depending on the student’s needs.
I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical and Molecular Diagnostics from TU Dublin, a Master’s degree in Immunology and Global Health from Maynooth University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy from RCSI University of Medicine and Health Sciences. I also have a background in Strength and Conditioning, which allows me to bring an applied understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics and exercise science into my teaching.
My lessons are suitable for Junior Cycle and Leaving Certificate students, as well as university students who need support with biology, anatomy, physiology, immunology, biomedical science, exercise physiology or related health-science subjects.
