My tutoring experience is 6 months and I hope to gain more experience through teaching. Happy and prefer to tailor lessons to individual student goals and learning styles rather than have a set agenda for every student.
Typical lesson length for adults is 45 minutes.
Children is 30 minutes.
Lesson length can be negotiated to student.
I follow the AMEB curriculum because I was taught this as a piano student and I also believe it is the best way to progress as a piano student if wanting to progress level (grade) and learn to become a better pianist.
I can teach practical piano up to Grade 6 and piano theory up to Grade 3.
As an AMEB student I completed up to Grade 7 in practical piano and Grade 3 in Music Theory. In music theory I was awarded a Distinction Grade for my exam and am confident with musical theory in general. I feel knowledge in theory is just as important as practical piano.
I have a current working children's check and police check. I am open to teaching piano for children ages 6 and up. Adults are also welcome to learn from me. :
