About Vanessa
My name is Vanessa, I am 35 years old and the piano is my specialization instrument.
I started learning at about 4 years old with my mother who was a piano teacher.
In 2008, after finishing my degree in Anthropology, I decided to re-invest in my musical training and joined Escola Luiz Villas-Boas (Hotclube de Portugal) in the Piano Jazz course. Training that I continued with the jazz pianist Paula Sousa.
In 2015 I attended the Academia de Amadores de Música where I resumed the study of classical music for a few seasons.
I've been working as a professional musician for several years now in projects of various styles - jazz, rock, fusion among others. I also worked on multidisciplinary projects with theatre, dance and visual arts as a pianist and composer.
Between 2009 and 2014 I gave musical training in the extra-curricular activities of the 1st cycle schools of public education.
In 2012 I started giving private piano lessons to children and adults.
I am currently attending the Masters in Musical Sciences at FSCH - Universidade Nova de Lisboa.
