About Carlos
With over 15 years of piano experience, I’ve performed everywhere from packed concerts in Venezuela to intimate gigs in Melbourne and Berlin. My heart beats to the rhythms of blues, jazz, Latin, rock, and funk, especially when they all blend together into something fresh and soulful. Inspired by legends like Ray Manzarek, Vince Guaraldi, Billy Joel, Jerry Lee Lewis, and the Fania All-Stars, I bring that same passion into every lesson. I'm not just here to teach notes. I'm here to help you fall in love with music. I know learning an instrument can feel like a big leap, so I always keep things patient, friendly, and at your pace. There’s no rush, no pressure, just steady progress and good vibes. And don’t worry, we’ll make it fun. After all, music should be fun. Currently learning bass myself (wish me luck!), because I believe a great teacher is always a curious student too. Let’s start this journey together: one chord, groove, and smile at a time.

Forget stiff, sleepy lessons with boring drills, my approach is all about making music from day one. We’ll start with a song you love, something that excites you, motivates you, or maybe even impresses that special someone. Through that song, you’ll naturally learn the foundations of rhythm, harmony, and music theory, without even realizing you’re studying! Lessons are 1 hour long and designed specifically for adults with little to no piano experience. Whether you’ve never touched a keyboard or tried learning before and gave up, these lessons are meant to be fun, relaxed, and energizing. Let’s change the way you think about learning piano, and actually enjoy the process. Regarding where the lessons will be held, it can be either at my place in Melbourne CBD or I can travel, depending on how far you are and also if you have a piano or keyboard at your place.
