About Joe
Hello! I am an enthusiastic piano and theory teacher based in Glasgow, with a bachelor's degree in composition at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. I have composed in contemporary, classical, jazz and rock styles for new music ensembles across the UK and achieved ABRSM Grade 8 theory, so have plenty of first-hand experience with which to guide those with an interest in writing music at any level.
With a ABRSM Diploma in piano performance, Conservatoire jazz and classical training and teaching experience, I am an accomplished pianist. I play and have played piano and keyboard in several jazz, funk, rock and disco bands for several years - so I'm happy to teach in any corner of the jazz, rock or pop music canons, whether it's playing, theory, or song writing! In any case, I am thorough, supportive and patient in working with students towards the goals we set in order to give you a secure understanding and ability in the next step of your unique musical journey.
