About Ezra

I hold a B.Mus in Piano Performance and an M.Mus in Music Education, with 7 years of experience teaching students across a wide range of ages and skill levels. My teaching philosophy emphasizes technical development, expressive musicality, and performance preparation while nurturing a lifelong love for music. I design lessons that are engaging, individualized, and balanced between skill-building exercises and creative exploration.

About the lesson

Piano lessons are most effective when students cultivate technical skill, musical understanding, and expressive confidence simultaneously. I focus on finger independence, scales, sight-reading, rhythm, tone production, phrasing, pedal technique, ensemble performance, improvisation, and repertoire interpretation. Each session is designed to balance structured exercises, creative exploration, and performance preparation, providing students with a supportive environment where they can experiment, reflect, and build musical confidence while enjoying the process of learning.

Beginners focus on proper posture, hand coordination, simple scales, melody reading, and basic repertoire, establishing a solid foundation for technical and musical growth. Intermediate learners refine technique, expressive interpretation, rhythm, phrasing, and ensemble playing while exploring more challenging repertoire. Advanced learners work on performance preparation, stylistic versatility, complex repertoire, improvisation, and collaborative skills. Each lesson incorporates structured guidance, reflective practice, and feedback to ensure steady progression and musical mastery.

Studying piano nurtures discipline, creativity, emotional expression, and confidence.
