About Louise

I began teaching piano at 16 years old and have a lifelong love of sharing this beautiful instrument with others. I have established a beautiful home studio where my students can learn in a comfortable and welcoming environment, practicing on a classic Broadwood baby grand piano. My students have the opportunity to advance through AMEB piano levels, completing annual exams, or simply learn for leisure. I studied at Newcastle and Sydney University and Conservatorium of Music, achieving a Bachelor of Music degree in Performance and Composition, and a Master of Education before beginning my career as a High School Music Teacher in 2004.

About the lesson

Learn to read and play music, sight-read and learn by ear for an overall, thorough understanding of musicianship. All ages are welcome - brush up on a childhood skill you have lost, or learn a completely new skill you have always hoped for! Lessons for beginners are 30 minutes. More advanced students are a recommended 45 minutes. HSC Tutoring for Musicology, Composition and Aural for Music 1, 2 and extension courses are also available for 1 hour sessions, regularly or on a casual, as required, basis.

Details

Beginner lessons are $42 for 30 minutes. More advanced students are advised to take 45 minute lessons at $60 each lesson. HSC Music 1, Music 2 and Extension course tutoring rates are by the hour at $80.
