About Sean

My background:

My name is Sean and I've been playing Piano for the last 10 Years. (Since June 2010!)

If you're looking for Piano lessons or a Music Teacher for yourself or anyone you know, I've been exactly where you want to go and I am more than capable of taking you there, but only if you put in the work. The benefit of knowledge is only gained when implemented.

I've worked for several music schools in the past, teaching kids of all levels Piano and Violin lessons at many primary schools. I was the section leader for 4 years at my high school where I was responsible for teaching my peers both classical and contemporary works up to the standard for concert performances. I am currently studying at Monash University.

As well as teaching kids as young as 5, I teach many adult students, anywhere from 25-40 , so there is no reason to hesitate if you are looking to learn Piano as an adult.

I also train students for music exams, primarily AMEB Examinations.

About the lesson

My approach:

My approach is step-by-step and methodical. Rushing in the name of "progress" actually produces mistakes later due to a poor foundation, and you spend more effort and money trying to go back and fix them. The whole process becomes way slower than if you had just got it right the first time and progressed step-by-step like I do with my students instead of skipping.

My Piano lessons are $45/hr and there are no lock-in contracts or commitments.

I have a valid Working with Children check, so I am authorised and approved to be working with children as a Music Teacher by the Australian Government.

If you are a parent of more than one child, I am also more than willing to teach multiple kids the Piano. I also teach and have achieved AMEB Grade 8 at Violin.
