About Edwina
I am an experienced music educator with over 15 years of teaching both individual and group lessons. I am also a registered music therapist and have worked extensively with children and their families, including those with additional needs, using music as a tool to support development, connection, and well-being.
With a Bachelor of Music, Master of Performance Teaching, and Master of Music Therapy from the University of Melbourne, I bring a well-rounded and holistic approach to teaching. My background also includes experience as a classroom music teacher, allowing me to adapt to different learning styles and create engaging, supportive learning environments for every student.

My lessons aim to build not only technical ability but also confidence, musical expression, and a genuine love for music. I support students preparing for AMEB and VCE exams, as well as those learning for enjoyment.
Lessons are tailored to individual needs and can include:
• Classical, contemporary, and improvisational styles
•Notation reading and music literacy
• Playing by ear
• Developing technique and finger dexterity
• Music theory integrated with practical playing
• AMEB syllabus preparation
• Aural training • Improvisation, chords, and chord progressions
• Playing and singing at the same time
Lesson lengths available: 30, 45, or 60 minutes.
