About Paulo
Olá! I’m a native Portuguese speaker with an extensive background in the creative and design industries. I came to London for its incredible creative energy and fell in love with its culture and humour! I've had a long, successful and exciting career in the creative industries, where for the last 20 years I was a Senior Creative Retoucher in Soho. Before retiring, I am looking to give back to the community! I'd like to build the confidence of people who are interested in picking up a new language, preparing to move to Portugal or perhaps Brazil, or even retired English folk who have already set up in a sunnier environment! When I moved to London, I really appreciated the people who helped me master the lingo - so this is my chance to do the same in reverse!

My lessons are for both beginners and advanced learners looking to immerse themselves in the language and culture. We’ll focus on real conversation, training your ear through dialogue, and improving your pronunciation through phonetic exercises. At the same time, we will work on perfecting grammar in a natural, practical way. Your vocabulary will naturally expand as we explore topics closest to your interests and goals! Rather than rigid lessons, we’ll build fluency little by little, always tailoring the topics to what interests you most.
