About Osric
I am a postgraduate student at UQ and a native Mandarin speaker from China. I enjoy meeting people from different backgrounds and sharing both the Chinese language and the culture behind it. I have a strong personal interest in Chinese history, literature and philosophy, and I would especially enjoy teaching adult learners who are curious about China, whether they are learning for travel, family, personal interest or simply for fun.

I offer relaxed and personalised Mandarin lessons for adult beginners, with a focus on practical conversation, pronunciation, listening and useful everyday vocabulary. Lessons can be adapted to your interests and learning pace. If you are interested in Chinese culture, I can also introduce topics from Chinese history, literature and philosophy, making language learning more engaging and meaningful. Whether you are learning Mandarin for travel, personal interest, family connections or simply curiosity about Chinese culture, you are very welcome.
