About Rafaella

My name is Rafaella, and I am a dedicated, professional tutor with a strong academic and cultural background in Spanish language learning. I grew up in Peru and speak Spanish at home, which has given me native-level fluency and a deep understanding of the language as it is naturally used in everyday life. In addition, I completed formal Spanish education during my school years, strengthening my grammar, reading, and writing skills. I am currently a student at Florida State University, majoring in Political Science, where I have developed strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills that directly support my work as a tutor. I approach tutoring with professionalism, reliability, and respect for each student’s individual learning needs. Students can expect well-prepared, structured lessons tailored to their level, age, and goals. I am patient, adaptable, and committed to creating a positive and encouraging learning environment where students feel confident asking questions and making progress. My goal is not only to help students improve their Spanish skills, but also to ensure they feel supported, motivated, and confident in their learning journey.

About the lesson

I went to school in Peru and took Spanish classes throughout high school, giving me both a strong academic foundation and real-life fluency rooted in cultural experience. Learning Spanish in an immersive environment allows me to teach the language naturally, not just from textbooks, but as it’s actually spoken and understood.

My tutoring style is supportive, engaging, and fully personalized. I focus on helping students feel confident from the very first lesson, adjusting my teaching methods to match each student’s age, level, and learning style. I believe students learn best when lessons feel approachable, interactive, and encouraging rather than overwhelming.

Each lesson is thoughtfully structured but flexible, combining clear explanations with conversation practice, guided exercises, and real-world examples. I tutor students of all ages and levels and customize every lesson to meet individual goals—whether improving grades, building conversational confidence, or developing a strong foundation in Spanish. Students who work with me gain not only language skills, but confidence, motivation, and a genuine connection to the language.
