About Amélie

Bonjour,
I'm a PhD student in translation studies, born and raised in Paris. I have a BA and a MA in English studies and I've been a French and English tutor for several years.

I'm a kind, open-minded and curious person who has many various interets.
I love Tv shows (Netflix is my BFF), point & click video games, SF & Fantasy literature, science, art, tattoos, taking walks, forests (I'd love to see the majestic Scandinavian forests irl)...

About the lesson

I'm a very patient and easy-going teacher, I like to make sure that my students feel at ease.
I like my lessons to be entirely crafted around your needs and interests.

I offer French conversational lessons for intermediate to advanced learners (B2 - C2)
We can discuss a large range of topics of your choosing or if you'd like to I can prepare customized content (questions, articles, pictures) for you to talk about and/or describe.
I can also help you with practicing for interviews, writing letters or academic papers and even translation.

Let's talk French together.
A bientôt.

I love speaking French with Amelie because she helps me work on my confidence. I tend to be self-conscious when it comes to speaking French but because we talk about topics I'm passionate about I forget all about it.

J'ai pris des cours avec Amélie quand j'étais à la fac, elle m'a beaucoup aidé à être plus à l'aise à l'oral. D'un naturel timide, elle a su me mettre immédiatement à l'aise et j'ai pu travailler mon anglais efficacement.
