About Katy-lea
Hello my name is Katy I’m originally from the land of NZ but I moved the beautiful Sunshine Coast about 12 years ago.
I have worked as a retail manager for the last 8 years at Surf Dive & Ski and love meeting new people and learning their story. I also dabble in the world of support work, working with one on one clients and running workshops.
I’m a very outgoing, bubbly person and love spending time outdoors - in my free time I enjoy yoga, surfing, hiking, cooking and of corse creating art!
I have been creating art ever since I was young, it’s the thing in life that lights me up and allows me to express myself through colours and shapes rather than words. It acts a a moment where I can still my mind and be completely present with myself which is pretty amazing. I love that I have found this tool and I’d love the opportunity to share it with others.
I have a 9 year old son so I’m very familiar with working with children and their different phases

Hello my name is Katy I’m a local artist and creative arts therapist. I run a range of fun and expressive workshops around the coast with a focus on creating a positive experience around the process of art.
I have practiced art ever since I was young and personally use it as a tool for mindful creativity & building intricate techniques.
I work with a range of clients including NDIS groups, wellness retreats, children and paint & sip workshops. I have a small collection of my own art prints/gifting cards which I sell in local stores around the Sunshine Coast.
Coming from a background of retail I’m passionate about meeting new people and learning about their unique stories. I am friendly, bubbly & outgoing by nature and have a very adaptable attitude to life.
It genuinely brings me so much joy to share my knowledge with others and help others learn to express themselves through the modality of art!
