About Melica

Hi Everyone!

I'm Melica, a pre-med student aspiring to be a physician in the near future. I have a deep passion for biology, human anatomy, and English. I have taken different variations of these courses throughout highschool, as well as college. During high school, I took honors, AP, and college-level courses and graduated the top 5% of my class with honors.

I can speak three languages -- I am fluent in English and am proficient in speaking both Farsi & Spanish.

For the sciences, I can provide tips & tricks on how to study a certain topic, review study guides, provide test taking strategies, and break down the complex concepts into simpler ones. I know science courses contain concepts that can be difficult to understand at first, I've been there myself, but I am happy to help you work through these concepts and teach you in a way you can best understand!

As for English, I can help with analyzing literature and providing feedback on your writing, whether that be a small writing assignment or an essay. We can even brainstorm ideas for an assignment or overcome writer's block!

All this being said, please feel free to reach out to me and we can start a lesson plan that works best for you and your academic success! :)

About the lesson

My teaching method:
- I can break down complex topics in an easy and understandable way
- I ask that you let me know what you would like to go over during the lesson at least 24-48 hours before, so I have time to prepare and assist you the best I can!
- In our lessons, we can also go over study guides and I can help break down how to think about answering a question & test-taking strategies.

Qualifications:
- I'm a STEM major and have studied these subjects deeply. I can provide you with tips that have helped me in my courses, so that you can succeed in yours. I'm also open to changing teaching styles to best suit your academic success!
