About Joshua

G’day my name is Josh. I’m a Pre-service teacher studying a double degree in Education (majoring in History) and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Notre Dame (Fremantle), with a strong academic background and a passion for helping students succeed. I specialize in tutoring Psychology and Modern History — two areas where I have both deep knowledge and a strong passion. Alongside subject support, I also focus on building essential academic skills, including essay writing, study plan creation, and exam techniques. My goal is to not only improve students’ subject understanding but also equip them with the tools they need to approach all their studies with confidence and strategy. I completed Year 12 with an ATAR of 80, studying Modern History, Mathematics Applications, Chemistry, and English. I understand the pressures of senior high school and am committed to helping students manage their workload effectively, set achievable goals, and develop study habits that lead to long-term success. As an Education Department swimming instructor, I bring energy, creativity, and a structured approach to teaching. I believe in working collaboratively with each student, creating engaging lessons that are tailored to their individual learning style and academic goals. I am determined to see my students succeed — not just in their exams, but in building skills they will carry with them beyond school.
